Tecumseh Eagles returned home as under 15 rep level champs of the Oakville Winter Classic Hockey Tournament … Mount Brydges Bulldogs have taken over first place in the West Yeck Division of the Provincial Jr. Hockey League … Windsor Lancers have moved to within two points of top spot in the West Division of Ontario University Athletics.

TECUMSEH TAKES IT IN OAKVILLE

Tecumseh Eagles of the under 15 rep level Bluewater Hockey League won all five of their games to emerge as champions of the annual Oakville Rangers Winter Classic Tournament.

Tecumseh began with a 7-2 win over the Barrie Colts Blue then edged the London Jr. Mustangs 4-3 before blanking the New Hamburg Huskies 7-0 in round robin play. The Eagles then clipped the Brant Battalion 4-1 in the semi finals before cuffing the Barrie Colts 5-2 in the title tilt.

Tecumseh now has an overall record of 28-6-3 this season as a top rated team in Ontario.

MOUNT B GIVES IT HECK IN YECK

A pair of weekend wins has ascended the Mount Brydges Bulldogs to the top of the Yeck Division of the Provincial Jr. Hockey League. Mount B began the weekend with a 6-4 win over the Exeter Hawks before edging the Petrolia Flyers 4-3.

The Bulldogs now have 44 points atop the hotly contested Yeck Division where six of the eight teams have winning records. Indeed, only nine points stand between first place Mount Brydges and the sixth slotted Port Stanley Sailors.

J.J. Fogarty leads the Bulldogs in scoring with 25 goals, 17 assists, 42 points, just ahead of Logan Gianelli, who has 16-25-41 totals.

ANOTHER BLANK FOR MAX DONOSO

Fourth place Windsor Lancers blanked the Western Mustangs 4-0 to move to within two points of first place in the crowded West Division standings of Ontario University Athletics.

Max Donoso had his second blank of the season for Windsor, which now has a record of 11-5-3. Donoso, who has factored in on every decision for the Lancers this season, has a sparking 1.97 goals against average to go with a .930 save percentage.

Donoso is a veteran of the Ontario Hockey League, having tended twine for both the Ottawa 67’s and his hometown Windsor Spitfires. He is in his second OUA season with the Lancers.
