U16 Jr. Spits leader group
Windsor Jr. Spitfires of the Under 16 level of the Minor Hockey Alliance of Ontario have named their captain and assistant captains ahead of a major tournament in London.
U16 Jr. Spitfires head coach Matt Zuccato confirmed to Hockey News Windsor that Cooper Disher has been chosen as captain with Carter Trudell, Roman Shtefan and Alex West as assistants.
With a record of 4-1-1 through six games — including four showcase event matches in Toronto — ahead of the ’25-26 Alliance Hockey regular season schedule, the U16 Jr. Spitfires are in London this week for the prestigious Wendy Dufton Memorial Tournament.
The U16 Jr. Spitfires are guaranteed four games at the tournament, which will be held at the Western Fair Sports Centre in London. They are as follows.
• Thursday at 2 p.m. v. the Burlington Eagles.
• Friday at 8:45 a.m. v. the Sudbury Jr. Wolves.
• Friday at 3:15 p.m. v. the Mississauga Senators.
• Saturday at 2:50 p.m. v. the Peterborough Jr. Petes.
