U16 Jr. Spitfires update
An upcoming under 16 level exhibition game between the Windsor Jr. Spitfires of the Minor Hockey Alliance of Ontario and Michigan based Victory Honda that was slated for this Sunday has been cancelled, Hockey News Windsor has confirmed.
The U16 Jr. Spitfires were to head to Plymouth, Michigan only to be informed by Victory Honda that the game would have to cancelled.
At any rate, coached by seasoned bench boss Matt Zuccato, the U16 Jr. Spitfires roster is as follows with a road exhibition game against the Chatham-Kent Cyclones now scheduled for Sunday, September 21.
GOALIES: Ethan Dool and Holten McPhedran.
SKATERS: Jason Beaudoin, Hunter Comtois, Gavin Diemer, Cooper Disher, Logan Disher, Liam Fitzmaurice, John Fountaine, Lucas Guevremont, Macoy Holmes, Nathan Mariuz, Marco Masse, Evan Samrah, Roman Shtefan, Carter Trudell and Alexander West.
HEAD COACH: The aforementioned Matt Zuccato brings a wealth of experience, passion, and mentorship to the U16 AAA Jr. Spitfires as head coach for the ’25–26 season. With over 14 years of coaching experience and with a high performance coaching certification, Zuccato has been a cornerstone in developing young talent within the Jr. Spitfires program over the years.
