Trudell sparks U16 Spits
Forward Carter Trudell pulled the trigger on a hat trick and the Windsor Jr. Spitfires scored an Under 16 level Minor Hockey Alliance of Ontario exhibition game victory today.
Playing on the road, the U16 Jr. Spitfires lit up the Chatham-Kent Cyclones by a resounding 7-2 score led by Trudell, who is the son of Windsor native Brett Trudell, who won an Ontario Hockey League championship as a member of the Guelph Storm back during the ’03-04 season.
The elder Trudell also played in the OHL for the Soo Greyhounds and Oshawa Generals.
Today’s game was the first action of the ’25-26 season for the Jr. Spitfires ahead of the upcoming Toronto Titans tournament and head coach Matt Zuccato told Hockey News Windsor that he was “very happy with how hard we worked.”
