Tecumseh trims Belle River
First place Tecumseh Eagles soared like a top team as the puck dropped on the playoffs in the Under 15 rep level Bluewater Hockey League on Saturday.
Playing on the road at the Atlas Tube Centre in Belle River, the no. 1 seed from Tecumseh tuned up the seventh place Canadiens by a 7-1 score.
Michael Janceski and Daniel Thompson paced the Tecumseh attack with two goals each while linemate Wesley Smith had three assists. Solo tallies were potted by Carter Pluss, Seb Lehoux and Nash Lemay. Christian Zgomba was in the net for the Eagles.
Tecumseh finished the regular season with a record of 15-5-1 while Belle River was 5-14-2.
All eight teams in the BHL are in the playoffs beginning with a two division, round robin format of six games apiece. The top two teams in each division will then advance to the league semi finals which will be best of three sets.
