Tecumseh nips Lake Erie
A tidy 3-1 road triumph on Tuesday in Harrow put the finishing touches on the regular season for the first place Tecumseh Eagles of the Under 15 rep level Bluewater Hockey League.
Wesley Smith started the scoring for Tecumseh and Carter Pluss gave the Eagles a 2-0 lead over the home side Lake Erie North Stars heading into the third period.
Lake Erie narrowed the gap to 2-1 in the third period before Daniel Thompson put the game on ice for Tecumseh with an empty net tally.
Owen Whitehead tended twine over the first two periods for Tecumseh before giving way to Christian Zgomba as Eagles head coach Jeff Smith opted to give both of his goalies time in the net in the regular season finale.
With the win, Tecumseh closes out the regular season with a first place record of 15-5-1 in the eight-team BHL.
Overall this season, the U15 Eagles have a record of 31-6-3. They will head to Port Huron, MI. beginning on Thursday of this week for the prestigious International Silver Sticks Hockey Tournament.
Following that, round robin playoffs will begin next week in the BHL.

Good evening sir:
Just a bit of information that you probably already have! I think it’s a big deal. Last weekend, The eagles had a tournament last weekend in Port Huron Michigan. Unfortunately they were knocked out.
There were 16 teams in this tournament so approximately 272 kids taking part. Well the tournament put an all star first line together and 5 forwards and 1 goalie were chosen as the best of the best in the tournament.
Carter Pluss was chosen from the Tecumseh Eagles. Not bad out of 16 teams and from a team that was knocked out.
This Pluss kid is very interesting to watch. He plays like he has his next 5 moves planned and constantly attempts to set up his teammates so they can excel as well.
I’m sending you this as I think it would be nice to do a feature on Tecumseh Eagles kid who happened to be picked at a U.S.A. Tournament to the first line all stars!
I just like to build up our youths and Carter Pluss is a prime example of dedication, determination and respect. Thank you for all you do, I love your web page and your vision and take on the game of hockey!
