St. John signs with U18 Spits
Barring a move up to an area junior B or junior C team local product Luke St. John is poised to play the ’25-26 season with the Windsor Jr. Spitfires of the Under 18 level of the Minor Hockey Alliance of Ontario.

Head coach Mike Heikkinen confirmed to Hockey News Windsor that St. John has signed with the U18 Jr. Spitfires ahead of the ’25-26 season but noted that “like anyone, he can sign and make a junior team and we get the card back.”
Heikkinen added that he “won’t know my full roster until just before Labour Day.”
Back to St. John, the 5 foot 10, 160 pound, 2009 birth year defenseman was a 13th round pick by the Windsor Spitfires from the Under 16 level Jr. Spitfires at the 2025 Ontario Hockey League priority selections draft.
