Windsor Spitfires will skate into the 2026 segment of this Ontario Hockey League regular season on a three game winning streak.

The Spitfires closed out 2025 with a 6-0 whitewash of the visiting Saginaw Spirit before a sold out New Year’s Eve matinee crowd at the WFCU Center. The win continued Windsor’s winning ways, as in their two prior contests to end 2025, the Spitfires upended the Flint Firebirds 4-1 after taking the measure of the Soo Greyhounds by a 6-2 score.

Thus, in winning three in a row — all against West Division/Western Conference opponents — the Spitfires outscored their foes by a margin of 16-3.

The 6-0 win over Saginaw allowed the Spitfires to keep pace with the Western Conference leaders from Flint. The Firebirds also ended 2025 with a big win, scoring a 3-1 road decision at Sault Ste. Marie.

Flint now has a record of 25-8-4 for 54 points, just ahead of Windsor which has 52 points via mark of 24-8-4.
