Six straight for Spitfires
The Windsor engine is humming. The Spitfires have now won six straight games to boost their record to 27-7-3, which is second best among the 20 teams of the Ontario Hockey League. Windsor began the 2025 segment of this season on Thursday with a 9-5 drubbing of the visiting Guelph Storm.
Import forward Ilya Protas pumped in four goals and added an assist and Spitfires captain Liam Greentree also had a five point night, one of which was his 26th goal of the season. Jack Nesbitt (in photo) with a pair, Ryan Abraham and Cole Davis also scored for Windsor in front of goalie Joey Costanzo, who made 27 saves.
