Russian forward to Windsor
The Spitfires made one pick at today’s 2026 Canadian Hockey League import draft and went young with a 2009 birth year forward.
Windsor’s lone selection was Russian-born skater Bogdan Yakushevsky, who is not eligible for the National Hockey League draft until next year.
The 6 foot Yakushevsky spent the ’25-26 season with the CSKA Moskova Under 17 and U18 teams as well as with Krasnaya Armiya Moskva.
In total, he played in 63 games over the course of the ’25-26 campaign and scored 36 goals, 42 assists, 78 points.
