Mount Brydges v. Petrolia

It is playoff season in the Provincial Jr. Hockey League. And in one particular closely matched series from the Yeck Division it will be the Mount Brydges Bulldogs up against the Petrolia Flyers.

Fourth place Petrolia and fifth place Mount Brydges finished just one point apart during the regular season. Petrolia had 53 points from a record of 24-13-5 while Mount B had 52 points by way of a 24-14-4 mark.

As an example of how tight the eight team Yeck Division is, fifth seed Mount B finished just five points out of first place.

OPENING GAMES. The best of seven series begins on Thursday of this week in Petrolia. Game 2 is this Saturday at 7:30 p.m. at Tri Town Ice Arena in Mount Brydges.

TOP DOGS.  Logan Gianelli led all Mount Brydges scorers during the regular season with 18 goals, 29 assists, 47 points. Right behind was J.J. Fogarty with 27 goals, 19 assists, 46 points and Ben Funston with 16-17-33 numbers. In net, Logan Griffiths posted a record of 14-8-3 to go with a 3.09 goals against average and .917 save percentage.
