Mount Brydges in the mix
Riding the crest of a four game winning streak the Mount Brydges Bulldogs will begin play in the 2026 portion of the Provincial Jr. Hockey League regular season calendar in victory mode.
With 13 games to play on a regular season slate that ends in February ahead of the league wide playoffs, Mount Brydges has 33 points from a record of 16-12-1 in what is a hotly contested West Yeck Division of the PJHL.

First game for the Bulldogs in the New Year will be on Saturday, January 3 in a scheduled 7:30 p.m. start at Tri Township Arena against the visiting Lucan Irish.
Mount Brydges features four players who are in double digits in goals scored. J.J. Fogarty leads the way with 19 tallies followed by Logan Gianelli and Tim Jozsa with 14 each and Ben Funston with 12.
Between the pipes, Logan Griffiths has been in goal for nine of the Bulldogs 16 victories.
NECK AND NECK IN THE YECK
Seven of the eight teams in the West Yeck Division of the 61 member PJHL have records over the .500 mark with a mere nine points separating them.
Petrolia Flyers lead the way with 36 points followed by the Exeter Hawks with 35, the Thamesford Trojans and Mount Brydges Bulldogs with 33 apiece, the North Middlesex Stars with 31, the Port Stanley Sailors with 30 and the Aylmer Spitfires with 27. Only the last place Lucan Irish, with 10 points, are out of the picture.
