LaSalle Vipers GM resigns
John Nelson, whose name has been synonymous with the LaSalle Vipers for almost 20 years, has stepped down as general manager of the Greater Ontario Hockey League team.
The Vipers posted the resignation on their website and Nelson confirmed his departure in a follow-up message to Hockey News Windsor.
Nelson would only say that “life is good … I wish the Vipers good luck.”
The Vipers, in a statement, noted that Nelson “has been instrumental in the club’s many successes and having it recognized as one of the premiere franchises in the GOHL. We thank John for his dedication and commitment to the organization and wish him all the best in his future endeavours.”
