HoneyBaked ‘D’ to Niagara
Big, strong, high scoring Detroit HoneyBaked defenseman Max Lappan has become a first round Ontario Hockey League draft pick.

The 6 foot 2, 200 pound defender was taken in the first round, ninth overall, by the Niagara IceDogs at tonight’s OHL priority selections draft.
Lappan put up 24 goals, 108 assists, 132 points in 89 games for HoneyBaked over the course of the ’25-26 season. He stood out at the annual OHL Cup, producing two goals, eight assists, 10 points in seven games in helping HoneyBaked become the first American team ever to win the prestigious tournament.
Lappan is represented by hardworking player agent Eddio Mio of Octane Sports. A Windsor product, Mio is known as one of the best in the business.
