Brantford Bulldogs have acquired a young defenseman and a haul of draft picks from the Owen Sound Attack with the Ontario Hockey League trade window now open.

Hockey News Windsor has learned that in addition to multiple draft picks, Brantford will get 2008 birth year defenseman Jet Kwajah from Owen Sound for 2006 birth year (overage) goalie Ryerson Leenders.

Kwajah, who played in the United States Hockey League in ’25-26 and who has a future National Collegiate Athletic Association commit to the Ferris State Bulldogs, was a 6th round pick by Owen Sound at the 2024 OHL priority selections draft.

As for the veteran Leenders, he is coming off of a ’25-26 campaign with Brantford in which he fashioned an overall record of 37-7-8, regular season and playoffs  included.

Meanwhile, sources have told Hockey News Windsor that Brantford has a few others trades in the works that could be  finalized within the next day or so.
