Max Brocklehurst to LaSalle
He is well down on the Ontario Hockey League depth chart of the Windsor Spitfires behind a dozen forwards older than him. Thus, the Spitfires have assigned youngster Max Brocklehurst to the nearby LaSalle Vipers, who are Windsor’s Greater Ontario Hockey League affiliate team.
With a December 30, 2008 birth date, Brocklehurst was the youngest player taken at the 2024 OHL priority selections draft. After playing in six games for the Spitfires in ’24-25, Brocklehurst suited up in 26 OHL matches for Windsor this ’25-26 season and had two goals, three assists, five points in limited ice time.
Brocklehurst, a Nova Scotia native who the Spitfires took in the third round, 57th overall, of the ’24 OHL draft, heads to LaSalle of the GOHL as a player familiar to the Vipers program. The 5 foot 9, 165 pound Brocklehurst skated in 29 games for LaSalle in ’24-25 and had 12 goals, 12 assists, 24 points.
At the time that Windsor drafted Brocklehurst in 2024, Spitfires general manager Billy Bowler told Hockey News Windsor that he didn’t envision the youngster being an OHL regular until the ’26-27 season.
