Woodall winds down
Bryan Pearse of Rising Athletes Advisory made Hockey News Windsor aware of a fearless feat performed by Spitfires defenseman Carson Woodall on the weekend.
Among other community minded citizens, Woodall descended 170 feet from the top of the CIBC building on the corner of Ouellette Ave. and Riverside Dr. in Windsor’s downtown as part of a fundraising venture for the Windsor Cancer Centre Foundation.
The weekend event — under the hot, hazy and humid skies of Windsor no less — was held in order to raise awareness for cancer research in the community.
From Woodall’s end, through family, friends and supporters, they were able to raise over $5,800 for the Windsor Cancer Centre Foundation.
A Windsor area product, Woodall is one of the top defensemen for the Ontario Hockey League Spitfires.
