Spitfires take it to Flint

The Spitfires are back in the win column. Two nights after losing for just the second time this season the Spitfires skated into Flint and left town with a tidy 3-0 victory over the Firebirds.

Windsor improves its record to 11-2-1 ahead of a home rematch with Flint on Sunday afternoon at 4:05 at the WFCU Center. The Spitfires have a home record of 5-1-0 and are now 6-1-1 on the road.

In tonight’s triumph over Flint, Joey Costanzo continued his stellar play in the Windsor net with a 21 save effort for his second shutout of the season. Costanzo now has a record of 10-1-0 to go with a 1.72 goals against average and .938 save percentage.

Defenseman Conor Walton went on the offense with a goal and an assist for the Spitfires. Cole Davis and Ryan Abraham also found range for Windsor.
