Spitfires stun Knights
Spot the powerhouse London Knights a 3-0 lead and chances are the no. 1 team in the Ontario Hockey League is going to come away with the win. Just don’t tell that to the Windsor Spitfires.

After the Knights took a 3-0 lead just over two minutes into the second period, the Spitfires stared defeat straight in the kisser and began a comeback for the ages in a Sunday night home game before more than 5,500 fans at the WFCU Centre.
Noah Morneau and Ilya Protas scored for Windsor to narrow the London lead to 3-2 before the second period was over. Then in the third, Protas scored his 34th of the season in the opening minute and A.J. Spellacy slipped home his 13th of the campaign while the Spitfires were shorthanded for the game winner.
Rookie backup Carter Froggett, a London product, came on in relief of starter Joey Costanzo with the score 3-0 for the Knights and made 13 saves in relief for the Spitfires to improve his record to 5-3-1 on the season. The Spitfires now have 71 points from a record of 34-11-3.
London dropped to 38-8-1 with the loss but its 77 points are tops in the OHL. Knights overage goalie Austin Elliott lost for the first time in a London uniform after 20 straight wins.
