Spitfires double it up
The Spitfires have clearly ascended in putting a forgettable ’23-24 season on the tarp. A pair of weekend victories on home ice have improved Windsor’s record on the ’24-25 season to 36-12-3, which is third best in the entire Ontario Hockey League to date.
The Spitfires won only 18 of 68 regular season games in ’23-24 to finish 19th among the 20 teams of the OHL with a record of 18-42-8.

But that was then and this is now. And the latest now had the Spitfires scoring back to back wins over Sarnia and Brantford, buzzing the Sting in a 7-2 blowout and nipping the Eastern Conference contending Bulldogs 3-2. Windsor showed its power by out-shooting Sarnia by a 46-19 margin before putting up 37 shots on Brantford and allowing only 15.
Windsor has a healthy 19 point lead atop the West Division and is the second seed in the Western Conference, trailing only the London Knights.
