A record of 12-3-1 has the Windsor Spitfires in high flight as they near the one quarter mark of the ’24-25 Ontario Hockey League season.

Balance and good goaltending, along with a productive power play have stood out for Windsor through its first 16 games of the regular season slate.
Captain Liam Greentree is one of the OHL’s top performers with 31 points from nine goals and 22 assists. Forwards Ilya Protas and Jack Nesbitt lead the Spitfires with 10 goals apiece while Ryan Abraham has tallied seven times and fellow overage Noah Morneau has six. A.J. Spellacy and Cole Davis have both found range on five occasions. Davis has his five goals in just 11 games.
Meanwhile, ace defenseman Anthony Cristoforo is sixth on the Spitfire scoring chart with 13 points, including 11 assists. Cristoforo also has a team best plus-minus rating of +24.

Between the pipes, Joey Costanzo has been a stalwart for the Spitfires with a record of 11-2-0 to go with a 1.93 goals against average and .929 save percentage.
As a team, the Spitfires have outscored their opponents by a 75-47 margin. Windsor’s power play is second best in the entire league, clicking at 29.0 per cent. The penalty kill is ninth best at 82.0 per cent.
Windsor has a slightly better road record than at home. The Spitfires are 6-1-1 away from home and 6-2-0 at the WFCU Center.
