Season is over in LaSalle
The pause and the subsequent planning for next season has started for the LaSalle Vipers of the Greater Ontario Jr. Hockey League.
The Vipers came up on the short end of a 5-2 score — which included two empty net goals — to the Stratford Warriors in Game 4 of the opening round of the best of seven GOJHL playoffs.
A pair of 2008 birth year players who are signed 2024 Ontario Hockey League priority selections draft picks of the Windsor Spitfires finished up a season of development in nearby LaSalle with the four playoff games against Stratford.
Forward Max Brocklehurst led the Vipers in playoff scoring with one goal, two assists, three points. And goalie Jake Windbiel started and finished two of the four playoff games and stopped 68 shots for a .919 save percentage and 3.00 goals against average.
