Run and gun Spitfires
And the Spits just keep on coming. Windsor Spitfires spotted the Brampton Steelheads an early 2-0 lead and soared back for a 7-5 Ontario Hockey League road victory on Friday.

Windsor has now won four in a row and has an overall record of 5-0-1 through six games, only two of which have been played on home ice. The Spitfires have outscored their opponents by a 29-8 margin over the course of the current four game winning streak.
In Friday’s frantic win over Brampton, Windsor got two goals and an assist from import forward Ilya Protas. A third round pick by the Washington Capitals at this year’s National Hockey League draft, the 6 foot 5, 200 pound Protas now has four goals and an assist in just three games with the Spitfires.
A.J. Spellacy, Ryan Abraham, Noah Morneau and defensemen Carson Woodall and Anthony Cristoforo also scored for the Spitfires while captain Liam Greentree had a pair of assists in front of goalie Joey Costanzo, who made 31 saves.

ICE CHIPS: Injured forward Owen Outwater is expected to miss another week or two with an upper body injury. Spitfires general manager Billy Bowler told Hockey News Windsor that the injury to Outwater is not as serious as originally feared.
