Reyth Smith goes to the Dogs
Windsor product Reyth Smith is on the move in an off season Ontario Hockey League trade. The 6 foot 2, 175 pound forward with a 2007 birth date has been dealt by the North Bay Battalion to the Niagara IceDogs for a pair of future draft picks.

Smith, who was picked by North Bay in the fifth round of the 2023 OHL priority selections draft from the Windsor Jr. Spitfires of the Under 16 level of the Minor Hockey Alliance of Ontario, skated in 49 games as a rookie with the Battalion in ’24-25. He managed five goals, four assists, nine points.
After originally being drafted by North Bay from the Jr. Spitfires, Smith spent the ’23-24 season with the Powassan Voodoos of the Northern Ontario Jr. Hockey League. In 72 games for Powassan, regular season and playoffs included, Smith scored 36 goals, 36 assists, 72 points.
