One more tuneup for Spits
The Spitfires will wind up their Ontario Hockey League exhibition slate on Saturday with a 7:05 p.m. match against the visiting Niagara Ice Dogs at the Atlas Tube Centre in Lakeshore.
Windsor is a perfect four for four in the pre season, the latest triumph being a 5-3 victory over its Western Conference rival Flint Firebirds on Thursday.
Rookie sensation Ethan Belchetz clicked for two more goals for the Spitfires in the win over Flint. The 6 foot 5 power forward now has five goals and an assist in Windsor’s four exhibition games.
Goalie Carter Froggett turned in another solid pre season performance for the Spits with 20 saves.
