The Spitfires outshot the Sarnia Sting by a resounding 39-19 margin but needed an overtime goal by overage defenseman Tnias Mathurin to pull out a 4-3 road win tonight.

The winning goal was the second of the game and sixth of the season for Mathurin (in photo.)

Windsor, which also got goals from Ethan Belchetz and A.J. Spellacy, improved its record to 32-10-3 on the season and retained its firm hold on first place in the West Division and as the second seed in the Western Conference of the Ontario Hockey League.

Up next for the Spitfires is a Sunday afternoon home game against the Brampton Steelheads in a 4:05 p.m. start time at WFCU Center.
