Back to back losses on the road and at home have the sixth seed LaSalle Vipers trailing the third ranked Stratford Warriors two games to none in the opening round of the Greater Ontario Jr. Hockey League playoffs.

Stratford followed a 2-1 home ice win in the best of seven  GOJHL Western Conference opener with a 5-2 road victory over LaSalle in tonight’s Game 2.

Notably, the youngest player in the GOJHL, forward Max Brocklehurst, has one of LaSalle’s three goals in the series to date.

Brocklehurst (in photo at left)  is coming off a productive regular season as a December 30, 2008 birth year rookie forward for LaSalle. Despite missing half of the regular season on the injured list, Brocklehurst tallied 11 goals, 10 assists, 21 points in 25 outings for LaSalle.

The pint size forward was a third round pick by the Windsor Spitfires at the 2024 Ontario Hockey League priority selections draft.
