The Spitfires not only have the best record among the 20 teams of the Ontario Hockey League but the leading scorer as well in star forward Liam Greentree.

Liam Greentree

A 2024 first round National Hockey League draft pick of the Los Angeles Kings, Greentree added to his OHL leading point totals with two goals and an assist as Windsor scored a 4-1 Saturday night road victory over the Owen Sound Attack.

As the Spitfires have the OHL’s best record at 8-1-1, Greentree sits atop the OHL scoring chart with six goals, 17 assists, 23 points. Greentree, who has been on the scoresheet in all nine games that he has played for the Spitfires since returning from Los Angeles, has four goals, seven assists, 11 points in his last three outings alone.

Windsor’s 8-1-1 record to date is even more impressive considering the Spitfires have played seven of their 10 games away from home. The Spitfires have a 5-1-1 record on the road and are a perfect 3-0-0 at the WFCU Center.
