Flint and Sarnia make a deal
Windsor product Landon Pickersgill is off to the Sarnia Sting following a major Ontario Hockey League trade with the Flint Firebirds.
Defenseman Nick Bogas — a 2024 OHL draft pick by Sarnia and a 2026 National Hockey League draft pick of the St. Louis Blues — is off to Flint in exchange for Pickersgill and four draft picks. Both players have 2008 birth dates.
A Metro Detroit product, Bogas skated for the United States National Team Development Program in ’25-26.
Pickersgill was selected by Flint in the seventh round of the 2025 OHL priority selections draft and tallied 40 points in 55 games with the Leamington Flyers of the Ontario Jr. Hockey League from his blue line position in ’25-26. He had only recently signed with Flint, though the trade to Sarnia puts him closer to his Windsor home.
