Mount B packs ’em in
An overflow crowd of 369 fans packed Tri-Township Arena on Sunday night and watched as the Mount Brydges Bulldogs evened their hotly contested series with the Petrolia Flyers at a game apiece.
A third period goal by Ben Landers stood up as the winner as Mount Brydges edged Petrolia 4-3 before the standing room only gathering at Tri-Township Arena, which has 300 seats. Bulldogs president Andy Friyia told Hockey News Windsor that the attendance mark of 369 was the largest crowd of the season to watch a game in Mount B.
Petrolia had taken Game 1 of the best of seven, second round, Provincial Jr. C Hockey League West Yeck Division playoff series in overtime, prevailing by a 6-5 score.
Game 3 in the series is slated for Thursday in Petrolia with Game 4 back in Mount Brydges on Saturday at 7:30 p.m.
