LaSalle Vipers of the Greater Ontario Hockey League are big on developing youth.  The evidence is that half of the current LaSalle roster is made up of players born in either 2009 or 2010  — including several Ontario Hockey League priority selections draft picks of the Windsor Spitfires.

Prospect Pipeline. Among the draft picks that the Vipers of the GOHL are developing for the OHL Spitfires is 2009 birth year defenseman Luke St. John. A right hand shot defender who Windsor took in the 13th round of the 2025 OHL priority selections, St. John currently leads LaSalle in scoring with five goals, six assists, 11 points in 13 games … The Vipers are also grooming four 2010 birth year players who were taken by the Spitfires at the 2026 OHL priority selections. They are defenseman Jake LaMontagne (fourth round), forward Cam Jolicoeur (seventh round), goalie Nolan Hardy (eighth round) and forward Kai Duquette (12th round.) … The 6 foot 4 LaMontagne (in photo at left) has already signed an OHL package with the Spitfires. Hailing from the Metro Detroit area and a product of the HoneyBaked program, LaMontagne is clearly showing strong signs of development in LaSalle and could be ticketed for some cameo appearances with the OHL Spitfires at some point this season. Notably, LaMontagne is a client of prominent player agent Eddie Mio of Octane Sports Management. A Windsor native, the well respected Mio played nine seasons in the National Hockey League as a goalie for the Edmonton Oilers, New York Rangers and Detroit Red Wings.
