Marlies oust Little Caesars
A 4-1 loss to the Toronto Marlies in the second round of the playoffs of the Toronto Titans Hockey Tournament has sent Detroit Little Caesars home.
The setback was the first of the Under 16 level of the prestigious Titans Tournament for Little Caesars, who were a perfect 4-0-0 during the round robin before upending the Mississauga Senators 3-1 in the opening round of the playoffs.
Little Caesars scored round robin victories over the Whitby Wildcats, Niagara North Stars, Soo Jr. Greyhounds and the Waterloo Wolves in round robin play.
Forward Drystan Thomas, a presumptive first round pick at the 2027 Ontario Hockey League priority selections draft, led Little Caesars in scoring with two goals, seven assists, nine points in their six tournament games.
