Ethan Garden is Spits captain
A former ninth round pick from the 2024 Ontario Hockey League priority selections draft has been named captain of the Windsor Spitfires.
Small but skilled and smart, 2008 birth year forward Ethan Garden takes over from graduated standout Liam Greentree as the Spitfires new captain.
Now in his third full season with the Spitfires, Garden is a graduate of the AAA Detroit Little Caesars program and a client of hard working player agent Eddie Mio of Octane Sports.
Spitfires head coach Greg Walters referred to Garden as “very competitive … high end hockey sense … unbelievable teammate … he does everything right on and off the ice every single day.”
And Spitfires general manager Billy Bowler noted that Garden is “a true Spitfire in the way he represents this organization on the ice and in the community.”
Garden will be joined on the Spitfire leadership team by alternate captains Anthony Cristoforo, Conor Walton, Johnny McLaughlin and Andrew Robinson.
