Spitfires are in the win column
It took a bus trip to Saginaw for the Spitfires to taste victory for the first time and boost their record to 1-2-1 through four games of the ’26-27 Ontario Hockey League season.
Rookie goalie Jake Windbiel (in photo at left) made 23 saves and Windsor got three goals from Anthony Cristoforo and two from Caden Harvey en route to a decisive 6-3 decision over the Spirit tonight.
It was Harvey’s first game of the season for the Spitfires since returning from the National Hockey League training camp of the Edmonton Oilers.
Beksultan Makysh also scored for the Spitfires. who outshot their opposition for the fourth time in as many games this season.
