Battle of the Border in Windsor
Twelve teams will make up the card for the 2026 Ontario Hockey League Battle of the Border Tournament which will be held Oct. 16-18 at the WFCU Centre in Windsor. The event will feature a pool of the 2011 birth year talent of players available ahead of the 2027 OHL priority selections draft.
A total of 27 games will be played over the three days. The teams are as follows.
Ontario: Elgin Middlesex Canucks (Minor Hockey Alliance of Ontario), Halton Hurricanes (Ontario Minor Hockey Association), Hamilton Steel (OMHA), Toronto Jr. Canadiens (Greater Toronto Hockey League) and Toronto Marlboros (GTHL) and Vaughan Kings (GTHL).
USA: Detroit HoneyBaked, Detroit Little Caesars, Oakland Grizzlies, Ohio Blue Jackets, Palmyra Black Knights and Philadelphia Jr. Flyers.
— Every round-robin game on October 16 and 17 is a cross-border matchup.
— All teams will play at least four games.
— The four division winners will advance to the Oct. 18 semi-finals. The two Ontario division winners will meet in one semi-final and the two USA division winners will face off in the other. This will guarantee an Ontario v. USA championship game.
