Lakeshore ousts Mount B
Four rounds and 22 games later, the Lakeshore Canadiens will carry on in the exhausting Provincial Jr. Hockey League playoffs while the Mount Brydges Bulldogs will call it a season.
Lakeshore took the measure of Mount Brydges in four straight games in the finals of the PJHL’s Western Conference to extend its winning ways of late.
The Canadiens were down three games to one to the Essex 73’s in the Stobbs Division finals before rallying to take the next three and win the best of seven series 4-3. Thus, Lakeshore will take a seven game winning streak into the fifth round of the relentless PJHL playoff push.
As for Mount Brydges, the small market PJHL team went from finishing fifth in the Yeck Division during the ’25-26 regular season to winning three playoff series before being sidelined by Lakeshore.
