Epic comeback in Mount B
A goal by Dominic DiFrancesco at the 4:56 mark of overtime put the finish on a frantic Monday night comeback for the Mount Brydges Bulldogs and a furious four games to two playoff series verdict over the Exeter Hawks.
Playing at home and trailing 5-2 with eight and a half minutes left to go in the third period, the outlook did not appear promising for the Bulldogs of Mount Brydges. But the home side was not prepared to give it up to the visitors from Exeter.

Three goals by Mount Brydges in a span of one minute and 15 seconds — at 11:31, 12:34 and 12:46 — tied the game at 5-5 and sent the partisan crowd of 386 at Tri-Town Ice Arena into a frenzy ahead of a looming overtime frame.
And it was the aforementioned Dominic DiFrancesco — he had also tied the game in the third — who tilted the twine with the OT tally that gave the Bulldogs the spine-tingling triumph and sent them to the finals of the West Yeck Division of the Provincial Jr. Hockey League.
“I couldn’t be happier for the fans who witnessed an epic comeback and overtime win,” Bulldogs president Andy Friyia relayed to Hockey News Windsor.
Besides the dandy display from DiFrancesco, J.J. Fogarty (with his team leading 12th of the playoffs), Noah Cameron, Andy Bastin and Jack Uniac all scored solo goals for Mount Brydges. Meanwhile, Ben Funston, Connor Castellarin and Joey Crngarov all had three assist outings for the Bulldogs in front of goalie Logan Griffiths, who made 34 saves, including five in overtime.
UP NEXT: Mount Brydges will now play its Highway 81 rival North Middlesex Stars in a best of seven series for the West Yeck Division title.
