Johnny be good for Spits
The Spitfires have officially signed their first round pick from the 2025 Ontario Hockey League priority selections draft to a standard scholarship and development agreement. Forward Johnny McLaughlin, who missed most of the ’24-25 season with a knee injury, is fully recovered from surgery.
“Everything is all behind me … I am 100 per cent and I feel great,” said the 6 foot 1, 170 pound skater, who hails from Sarnia.
Spitfires general manager Billy Bowler took note of the overall game of McLaughlin.
“You can see his competitiveness, the consistency and the IQ. You know exactly what you’re getting with him every day. He’s a great teammate … he is a reliable player who wins his shifts and battles.”
