Seasoned skater Luke McNamara is bringing his 6 foot 3 frame to the Spitfires via Ontario Hockey League trade with the Kingston Frontenacs.

Windsor gave up a fifth round pick to Kingston to get McNamara, a 2005 birth year forward who was originally picked by the Saginaw Spirit in the first round of the 2021 OHL priority selections draft.

McNamara (in photo at left) will basically take the Spitfire roster spot of fellow 2005 birth year forward Owen Outwater, who is out for the season with a shoulder injury.

In 36 games with Kingston this season, McNamara had six goals, 12 assists, 18 points. He has the experience of 226 regular season games in the OHL.
