100 point Spitfires
The noteworthy assembly of Windsor Spitfires who have reached the 100 point mark in a single season has two new members. Captain Liam Greentree and his import line-mate Ilya Protas have joined an honour roll that has had 100 point seasons for the Spitfires in an Ontario Hockey League history that dates back to the mid 1970s.

Interestingly, the most famous member of the Spitfires’ 100 point club is current general manager Billy Bowler. Bowler, who is Windsor’s all time points leader with 467, hit the 100 mark in three of his four seasons with the Spitfires — the 1992-1993, ’93-94 and ’94-95 campaigns.
And it was way back during the 1979-1980 term that the Spitfires first produced no less than three 100 point scorers in the same season. The trio of century mark scorers from ’79-80 were right winger Blair Barnes (63 goals, 67 assists, 130 points), center Brent Jarrett (30-88-118) and left winger Paul Gagne (48-53-101.)
Several years later, the 1987-1988 season, the Spitfires again had three players surpass the 100 point mark as Kelly Cain (57-76-133), Mike Wolak (42-72-114) and David Haas (59-46-105) all turned the trick.
In all, 21 players have now recorded 100-point seasons for the Spitfires since the OHL first came to Windsor in 1975.
